YEMAYA

Mother of Fishes

Yemaya is syncretized in Cuba with Our Lady of Regla.  My aunt was so named for this purpose. Luckily she is also a crowned Santera of Yemaya, as are most women in our family.
Strong-willed and independent women are usually daughters of Yemaya.  Children of Yemaya tend to be nurturing and selfless, yet also haughty and of regal bearing. Be warned though, they do hold grudges.
